Post hight school I dated one of my better friends older sister for a few months. he claimed he did not have a problem with it, and I did ask him before proceeding. We dated and ended up sleeping together. However, the relationship did not work out and I was the one who had to break it off because she refused to. I don’t believe it adversely affected my friendship with my friend per se, however it was very uncomfortable hanging out at his house (where the bunch of us hung out on a regular basis) and she did make some of our mutual friends ‘take sides’. Be prepared for those kinds of ‘after effects’ if it does not work out.
