I am a child of an interracial marriage and most people don’t think that my mother is my mother although we look alike. Most people assume that she is my sister. Also, my mother used to be concerned about how people would treat me when they found out she is white. Also, my mother told me that when I was born, she thought the nurses brought her the wrong baby. She thought I would be darker and look more like my father instead of her. Be open and support your friend and her children. There will come a time when they are going to need your unconditional love and support. Children can be very mean.

If you truly love him, date him; however, be careful because many African men practice polygamy. My husband’s cousin married an African and when he took her to Africa to meet his family, she also met his six wives.
