John-JohnParticipantHaving been often in Germany, and actually living there for a short period of time, I often observed people bringing dogs into restaurants. In hotels where I have stayed, there have also been cats in the dining room. This has never bothered me, because the ones I saw didn’t roam all over the place. In all honesty, in the U.S. I would rather deal with animals in public places than with some of the spoiled brats that are foisted off on the rest of us, allowed to run all over restaurants, misbehave on subways, kick the backs of seats in theaters, etc. And heaven help you if you dare to complain! At least a dog can be kept on a leash.
