Generally speaking, a flogger is a whip-like toy with a handle (4-8 inches in length) and many strands of some material (rubber ‘strings’, leather strips, chain mail, etc.) 12-24 inches in length. It’s usually used on the back (with the ‘recipient’ restrained to a wall or a St. Andrew’s cross). OTK stands for ‘Over The Knee’, and refers to bare-bottom spanking (with or without a paddle or other equipment). Both are probably considered more S&M than bondage — bondage isn’t necessary in either scene, but may be appropriate depending on the intensity of the pain, which in turn depends on the nature of the toy being used, and the force behind it. I’d exercise caution, though — unless the ‘active’ participant knows what they’re doing, there is the possibility of hurting oneself. And, before you get into a scene, discuss a ‘safe word’ and use it if you want a scene to stop.
