I don't think the woman asking the question had a problem with black people wearing white shirts as if they had no right to, she just noticed that it's the style. There are many subtle influences on fashion, most of which even the people participating in it don't understand. One factor is that blacks and other minorities are over-represented in prisons. Most people in prison are young, and most new fashion styles are started by young people. The style of sagging your pants originated in prisons, wearing your pants low indicated that you were 'available'. The style of baggy clothes also has some of its origin in the penal system. Most prisons issue oversized clothing because it will fit anyone. Also, baggy clothing came into style at the same time school violence was rising in the early '90s. Coincidence, I think not. Baggy clothes are easy to hide guns in. I'm not trying to say everyone wearing baggy clothes and sagging their pants is carrying a gun and looking for someone to share their bunk with, that's just how it started out. As for the shirts being white, white is the cheapest and most common color available, goes with anything and is easy to clean. Also, white t-shirts and 'wife beater' undershirts are available in bulk.

From what I've heard, it all started with the mini-series "Roots" in the 1970s. If you're unfamiliar with it, there is a scene in which a slavemaster is trying to force a new slave named Kunte into accepting his 'slave name' Toby by whipping him every time he refuses. This very powerful scene inspired many blacks to name their children traditional African names. Whether or not that's the intention nowadays is outside my knowledge.

I am a man, and therefore don't know anything about female orgasms from the direct experience of having one. I have, however have found through my sexual experiences with women that there are many different ways women have orgasms. I slept with a girl a few times who told me that she had never had an orgasm, by herself or with someone else (she had been with women before as well as men). I don't know what I did that was so different, but she did orgasm while having intercourse with me. On the other end of the spectrum, my current girlfriend can easily have 5-10 orgasms a minute during intercourse. I have also had experiences with women in between these two extremes. My advice would simply be to spend a lot of time on foreplay, especially since you can orgasm from masturbation. Make sure you are absolutely 100% comfortable with your partner, and communication is also very important. Men aren't born with female pleasure instruction manuals programmed into our heads, and many have no idea what the hell is going on down there. If he is doing something you don't like, tell him. If he's doing something you do like, tell him. If he's doing something you like, but he could be doing it a little faster and to the left, tell him. The ability to communicate is very important. Also, don't get into a structured mindset. You can give your guy instructions, but keep things spontaneous and don't micromanage. I hope this rambling was helpful in some way.

The traditional position for a woman giving birth in a hospital in the United States is lying on her back. This is probably the worst position a woman could be in. The weight of the baby puts great stress on the relativly fragile skin between the vagina and anus. Doctors usually perform an episiotomy shortly into labor. For those who don't know, an episiotomy is when the doctor cuts a slit from the vagina to the anus. They do this because if they don't, the weight of the baby will rip the skin anyway and a scalpel cut is much cleaner. This leads to a lot of the 'looseness' associated with a woman's vagina after childbirth. Time and proper healing can restore its properties, but the best thing would be to give birth squatting. Strange as it may sound, it is the least stressful position for you and the baby to be in during childbirth. Of course I'm not a certified doctor, but any rudimentary knowledge of human anatomy would probably lead you to the same conclusion.

You said his statements were 'stark and plain to anybody outside the black community.' That's because people outside the black community, including Bill Cosby, have the advantage of being able to ignore many of the problems that the black community faces and just assign blame. While I do agree that there are many elements within the black community that enable 'failure from within' as you put it, things aren't as simple as you may believe. Sure, you can tell black youth to stay in school, but when they live in an area where the high schools have a teacher to student ratio of 1:40 and no money for textbooks, the chances of learning anything, let alone getting into college aren't very high. Black people aren't stupid, they know that getting a diploma from a barely-funded school isn't going to do them much good. And when someone is faced with the choice of going to a school full of hopelessness or dropping out so they can get a job so their younger siblings can get enough food to eat, there isn't much choice. And when you can't get a job because the only jobs available to dropouts is part-time at McDonald's for minimum wage but won't hire you because they already have a full staff of dropouts, crime is often the only option to survive day to day. Is it a good thing? Of course it's not. But people like you, Bill Cosby, and me, have no right to criticize them for doing what they need to do to survive. Your statement reminds me of the attitude of a certain French Queen who, when told that the peasants had no bread, replied, 'let them eat cake,' because surely everyone has a private chef to make them cakes every day. Maybe if you got out of your ivory tower and went down to a poor neighborhood you could see what kinds of horrible choices poor people, black and white alike, have to make every day. Maybe while you're down there you can stop telling people how to fix their lives and lend a helping hand instead.
