Jack R.MemberMarco, You are a angry young man. In response to the holliday issue: Labor Day is to honor all who work. Columbus Day is to honor the man who discovered this wonderful country you live in freedom. Memorial Day honors the dead who gave all in a war (including all blacks, browns, reds and yes whites). We have a ‘Miss America’ contest in this wonderful country and all skin colors are included. The Black ‘Miss America’ contest is open to blacks only. I doubt that you would approve of a White only ‘Miss America Contest’. Concerning the Plantation Issue: Yes, Slaves were bought by white Owners to help on the Plantation. Now where did these owners go to buy the slaves? Your right, the slave market. And where did the market get these slaves? Your right, some black in Africa sold a fellow black to a Dutch Trader. If you Marco are so put upon, move back to Africa.

Jack R.MemberI too read the column and was taken back by the thought that Black people are offended by the sale of chicken to celebrate ‘Black History Month’. First, more Fried Chicken is consumed by white persons than Black. Second, Y is it that we do not have a History Month for other groups such as Mexicans, Polocks, Jews, etc.????? I agree with the person who pointed out that the Politically Correct routine is driving a wedge between different groups. It is not bringing us closer.
