Well this probably has something to do with how things were historically. There probably weren’t that many Asians playing tennis at your club. Just like people are surprised with Asians play basketball, a ‘Black’ sport. Could you imagine a Black Nascar driver? So I guess when people are raised with set races for set things, such as blacks play basketball they are just surprised when presented something out of their percieved norm.

I have seen all races litter but I would assume that those of lower socio-economic status would litter more since their disposition would put sanitation relatively low compared to other classes. This is a long shot, but Blacks when compared to other races are generally lower on the socio-economic scale. Thus they would be more prone to litter. Just a thought. On the same token, when I visited Hong Kong prior to the SARS outbreak people spit all the time. I was sitting in a restaurant and the guy across from me hawked a loogie on the floor, in the restaurant! So alot of it is cultural, what values were instilled in them when they were children. So I believe that Blacks do tend to litter more because of their GENERAL socio-economic disposition but it is not because they are Black, it is because of their upbringing.

Of course when you compare straight numbers Whites commit more crimes than Blacks. That is because Whites represent 70+% of the American population. However Blacks consist of a little over 10%. On this statistics site: http://ojjdp.ncjrs.org/ojstatbb/asp/JAR_Display.asp?ID=qa0526020030531 You can clearly see that Blacks are arrested more per 100,000 than any other race. This is only a chart for juveniles but I believe that it carries over into non-juvenile arrest statistics. Is it because they are Black? Are Blacks pre-disposed to commit crimes? No. Is it a proven statistic that poorer, disenfranchised people are more prone to crime? Yes. And Blacks are disproportionately poor and feel disenfranchised and are therefore responsible for more crime when compared with other races. So, the inference that Blacks commit more crimes per capita is true, but has to be taken in a socio-economic perspective.

The Blacks I’ve had experience with tend to talk ‘thug’ English. ‘Whazzup Foo’ ‘Mah Nigga’ ‘Fo Shizzle’ ‘Dawg’ Maybe its just because I go to high school, and people have yet to mature. But even when I compare Blacks and other races converse in high school I notice a stark difference in their ability to articulate their ideas/feelings. Of course I am by no way saying all Blacks are inarticulate. I know several at my school are are smart and articulate. But generally speaking I feel that Blacks are not as articulate as Whites. Perhaps its a cultural thing, or even a class thing. I have noticed poorer Whites are not as able to articulate themselves and resort to ‘thug’ English.
