The reason Jews and many Christians do not celebrate Christmas is that it’s not the birth date of Christ. Most major churches acknowledge that Jesus was most likely born in the early fall of our calendar year, and that the day of Dec. 25 was taken as a pagan sun worship practice. Old habits just die hard, I guess.
