    If they are, it would be absoloutely ridiculous… because locks didn’t originate with Rastafarians. Dreadlocks have been around for thousands of years. King Tut had them! Vikings and Celts sported locks long before they were a symbol of devotion to God. Sure nappy hair locks easier, but that doesn’t mean the people with nappy hair have the right to claim ownership of a particular hairstyle. I’ve had dreadlocks for almost a year, and have received nothing but compliments from black people. I would just suggest keeping them clean and moderately tidy if you don’t want to offend anyone.
