Students, particularly minors, generally take their cues from their teachers. As such, if a teacher covers potentially sensitive topics with confident, professional, academic clarity, the students will respond well. The more sensitive the topics, the more advance preparation is required to ensure that the teacher has a thorough mastery of the topics and can competantly field a full range of related student questions and reactions. Comfort is contagious; the more comfortable the teachers are with their topics, the more so thus will be their students.
