Christmas Crackers are cardboard tubes wrapped in paper (about the size of a toilet paper roll). It is a tradition at Christmas dinner for two people to each pull on one end of the roll. When the cracker separates, it makes a popping sound similar to a firecracker. Inside there is a prize (similar to crackerjack prizes). Whoever gets the tube end of the cracker gets the prize. I was born in England and still do this with my family every Christmas.
