Certainly the male art of tennis shoes on the power lines indicate a drug (or crack) house. It also indicates gang territory marking (the way dogs urinate is quite similar, which is tantamount to humans’ graffiti). It also indicates random acts of adolescent copy-catting. So there can be a drug house first and people get the idea to also throw other shoes on the telephone or power lines. Naturally people bugged by this trenchant detritus can invent a telescopic pair of shoe-lace-cuttin’ shears and go around town removing these shoes AT HIS OR HER OWN RISK.
