I don’t know about all situations, but I have always thought the opposite was the case. Women seem more open to different cultures – that is a terrible generalization, but it’s true from my experiences. Maybe in this specific case it is the violence associated with Samurai that draws more male interest (though I have to admit I’ve always thought of Samurai as being very sexy!).
