Ed25575ParticipantI haven’t heard of anyone being offended by a white person having dreads, but I have heard people laughing at whites, or anybody with straight hair who tries it. The previous descriptions of why and how people get dreads are correct. But if you have hair that doesn’t naturally tend to ‘lock up,’ forcing your hair to tangle up into ‘white people dreads’ makes you seem like you’re trying a little too hard. But to each his own.
