I believe that media has a whole lot to do with it. For example, a lot of American shows are translated in many asian countries. How the media portray blacks as gang members, or hustlers. Also, music industry is also responsible for it too. Another factor is that the fact that a majority of the world think ‘white is better’ as far as skin color goes. In Thailand, people will buy bleaching cream to lighten their skin. These are just some of my theories.
