    It’s, of course, impossible for us to know what exactly was in the minds of the shooters in Littleton, but I have many serious doubts as to the veracity of the “targeted because he was black” story. For one thing, he was the only black person fired upon, let alone killed. I feel it’s more likely that the student in question was targeted for some past misdeed (real or imagined). The use of the racial epithet was probably used for simple shock value (if it was used at all). Two important side notes: One, the kids involved were not members of any organization called the “Trenchcoat mafia.” Nobody was. There was no such organization, that’s just what the other kids called them and it stuck. Two, remember the martyr girl who was allegedly shot in the head after saying she believed in God? The autopsy report says she was shot in the chest. Doesn’t this call into question much of the so-called “witness” testimony?
