Lazy? I don’t think so. Less productive? Maybe. I beleave they move more slowly to help keep down body temperatures in the heat. In some cases this may result in lower productivity, in others it may increase. I’m guessing a little but it makes sense to me.

Many of us have guns to hunt or to target shoot. I don’t really remember not owning a gun, or several. (I am 60.) I don’t beleave guns are particularly dangerous if used properly but I don’t look at them as protection either. They may provide a sense of power to some. What guns should give any owner is an incredible sense of responsibility. This device if misused can cause serious damage from great distances a single bullet can cause the loss of a limb or other permanent disabilities not to mention death. I think of the responsibility as similar to driving a car or operating heavy equipment – a small break in attention or judgment can have catastrophic consequences. It ain’t like the movies.

This country was founded by people who believed in God, therefor there are many references to God in our culture. As an Agnostic ( I don’t realy believe in athiests, do you.) I don’t mind hearing someone reference there believe as long as they don’t try to convert me. (I do not want to hear it for extended periods.) As long as they still take it at the 7-11 I don’t care what it says on a dollar bill. Atheist is not a synonym for bad person.

I grew up a bigot in a white society and even today I claim to be white even though I am American Indian. You and I know we are wrong and therefor have a chance to change things. I have five children who don’t do the things I did because we talked about the rights and wrongs of movies TV shows my feelings and my cigarettes. I raised no bigots or smokers. Sometimes one can’t help what they feel but knowing it is wrong is the first step in the right direction.
