Diane M.ParticipantLet me start by saying, I’m not gay so I can’t speak from personal experience, but I have many very close friends who are. I have quizzed them endlessly and watched some very informative programs to try and come to terms with this issue. One argument that I have heard is that if you accept homosexuality as nature, then God made them that way, and God wouldn’t do that. Then please explain to me about hermaphrodites? They are God’s creatures and, in most cases I have read or heard about, at some point someone else has made a gender decision for them. And in most cases, when they grow up, they don’t understand why they don’t feel like they are quite right. Hmmmm, somebody else made a gender decision for them that was wrong? Somehow I feel this all ties in together. I don’t love my gay friends in spite of them ‘being gay’, I love them for the people they are, on a personal level, for all the things about them that make them special to me. I guess I’m on the side of nature.
