It’s been years since I’ve had a date, much less a girlfriend. Being shy and less than good-looking certainly does seem to play a part when it comes to meeting someone, and yes it’s frustrating! I imagine you’ve heard girls say ‘I love nice guys, but I always seem to end up dating jerks’? You and I both know why that’s true: it’s because nice guys are too shy to make ourselves known and we don’t have the looks that a lot of jerks do. The best advice I can give you is the same sort of advice I’m using myself: Just let time and fate do their thing. I was completely off-guard when I discovered my first girlfriend and that made be a believer in fate.
