    I’m a Mormon and have been raised not to drink Coke or other caffeinated soft drinks. However, Coke and the like are not actually forbidden by the Church. We’re advised not to drink them because they can be addictive, but it’s not actually forbidden. (I had my first Coke when I was a missionary for the Church!) We are not allowed to drink coffee, tea or alcohol, though. Moreover, contrary to rumor, the Church does not own Coca-Cola.
