    I think many have stopped the infighting and treasure their friendships with people of different backrounds. What is needed is a conscious effort to go beyond fear of differences. It was beneficial to stay within our tribe long ago in our evolutionary history. We now know there is one human tribe on earth and we are all in it. Eventually people will become less ignorant and accept reality.

    If I were you, I would wait to tell them once you are independent and supporting yourself. It may seem like you’re being secretive, but it may save a lot of headache. In the meantime, you can test their reaction by talking about your ‘atheist friend’ with them. Remember, ‘He that troubleth his own house, will inherit the wind.’

    The billion-dollar war on marijuana and “drugs” in general is a waste of our money. Putting a plant in your body does not constitute a crime. We are the most drug-reliant society in history, and with the influence of hemp, medical marijuana and the re-education of younger people, I see marijuana becoming legal (here) in 10 to 15 years.
