It’s odd that no one replied to this question. I’ve been wondering this same thing these past weeks. Why is there this big fight over gay marriage? You would think after all the civil rights movements in the past, this debate should be simple. I don’t even understand the distinction between civil unions and marriage. If they’re basically the same thing, why create another social construct just to segregate gay and straight. Maybe there has been no responses to this because it’s just too hard to argue against gay marriage without resorting to the bible.
