Asians in North America are, for the most part immigrants or first generation born. For immigrants, the only exposure they have to blacks prior to arriving is through movies and television, and usually these images are not positive. They tend to pass these values on to their North American born children. Many do not live in areas that have a large black population and many who own small businesses have been robbed by black men. Also, like European culture, Asian cultures tend to value fair skin, which indicates that one is high-born. The darker the skin, the lower-born one is. Hope this helps.
