‘Puppy Love’ is a term used to describe affection between boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 14. Any age above 14, I would call the show of affection just that, a show of affection or the start of a relationship (serious or otherwise). My younger two children, 13 and 18, have had their share of involvements. I trust them to do the right thing when they’re out with girls. We’ve talked about this in depth, and they understand their responsibilities. I don’t think they should get serious about anyone, because they have their whole life ahead of them. I feel they need to get experience about relationships on all levels. Sex should come later. Not necessarily after they are married, but when they’re old enough to understand the power of sex.
