There are two or three factors in play here. First is the shape of the penis itself, and here there’s simply a wide, natural variation. A lot of penises curve to some extent, and it can run up, down, or even to the side. (I lean left, myself.) As you may know, the corpus cavurnosum, the tissue inside the penis which fills with blood during an erection, is divided into two main chambers. It’s quite natural for them to grow assymetrically, leading to a bend or curve. Next is the angle itself. Of course gravity and position have a lot to do with this, but the innate factors are arousal and age. The more highly aroused a man is, the higher the penis will point. However, as a man ages, the penis, even when fully erect, tends to point further down or away from the body. I heard a hooker once refer to an erection as a ‘mature 3 o’clock’ rather than a ‘teenaged twelve’. Of course, the final and most important point to note is that, as long as one end goes into the man’s body, the penis is ready for action. It stands in a pleasantly diverse array of possible angles, none of which affect its performance in the slightest.
