I guess if you had to label me, you would call me Agnostic. The simple truth is I just don’t have a spiritual bone in my body. My wife became very involved in Christianity shortly after we were married. We never really had a problem with it. Both of our children are Christians and went to Christian schools. One of my children is even considering the ministry as a profession. If there is a God, he has wicked sense of humor. And I think that is the key to a successful relationship – keep your sense of humor. Accept that your spouse will change over the course of a marriage and don’t expect them to be exactly like you. Even though I don’t get anything from religion, I can see that my wife gets a lot out of her religious experience. Just focus on the the things that you do share and don’t sweat the things that you don’t share. It can actually be benificial. She has no interest in golf, so it works out really well for me to golf while she and the kids are in church. By the way, we will be celebrating our 25th anniversary later this year.
