    It’s interesting that you associate this with blacks. As a child raised in rural Indiana, my grandfather told me that vehicles backed into a parking spot was a sure sign of ‘hill-billies.’ As the driver of a full-sized pick-up truck, and a veteran of hours of tractor-work, I have found that backing into a parking spot is sometimes easier than pulling in straight ahead if the spot is tight.
