As most things, there are many points of view. To get the ‘Official’ belief of the Mormons, the best source is from the church. Visit ‘The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ either of these two sites: http://www.lds.org or http://www.mormon.org. On the other hand there exist numerous anti-Mormon sites, too. These are available on-line by searching, using the phrase ‘anti-Mormon’. I am a ‘Jack-Mormon’. I once believed in the totality of the Church, but no longer do. However, if I was to be encountered with proof positive of the existence of God, there would be only one place where I’d go … and that’d be to the nearest LDS Chapel to bet myself prepared for an afterlife. I am not a believer because, in my opinion, I found reason to not believe. However, for the 10 years when I was a believer, I was a full tithe-payer; plus, I made a sincere effort to perform all of the tasks which a believer is expected to do. In the KJV of the NT, there is a statement which helped me to become an LDS. It was the one about a good tree bearing good fruit. In the USA and World-wide, members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have the highest levels of overall scholastic accomplishment, general physical health, stable marriages, and economic prosperity in Christendom. This says much as to the wisdom of the NT quote above mentioned. To use another NT quote: ‘Seek and you will find’. Because we all see the same thing thru different eyes, you may not see what I’ve seen. However, if you seek … you’ll find; and conversely, if you don’t … you won’t.
