Blair28850ParticipantBeing a teen myself, I can tell you straight up why we mumble. When I happen to mutter something instead of projecting it, it’s usually because what I’m saying is inappropriate. While many teens claim to be rebellious, most are still afraid of authority. When we get into fights with adults, our shouting is usually followed by a mumble. That mumble usually contains offensive words that we feel need to be said, but not loud enough for anyone to hear.
