Take the Bible at its value, which is the inspired word of God, not the scribblings of uneducated people. As a Christian, allow me to answer your question directly with references to scripture (which is actually very clear on this issue). First of all, the Bible refers to people by their tribe or nation (where they geographically live) and not race (typically used to describe physical characteristics). Even as late as the New Testament (a time when very educated people advanced many of the principles that our nation adheres to today), it was understood that there was no such thing as ‘race’ (Acts 17:26). In Genesis 11:8-9 we read of God dividing people by language and dispersing them geographically. Modern genetics easily explains how different physical characteristics come about based on the environment where one lives (over a long period of time of course!). The point is that we always were and still are one race – the human race.

Great question! Let me point you to a specific web site that answers this question even more in-depth. See http://www.answersingenesis.org . The short answer is that Adam and Eve had several children, and they could intermarry and interbreed without fear of genetic mutation – but don’t let me steal the site’s thunder!

I think there is a misrepresentation of Christianity in your response. You indicate that ‘almost all’ Christians believe that a good man will be taken care of by God. This is not true of Christianity. Christians believe that the only way to live in God’s presence is through belief in the atoning sacrifice of Yeshua, who was resurrected three days later and assumed into heaven. I submit to you that any other belief as to the path to God is necessarily non-Christian. There was good reason for God’s expression of seperation of the Jewish people from the gentiles. The lands in which the ancient Hebrews lived were surrounded by pagan and idolatrous peoples. God did not want his chosen people to mix with these pagans so that they would not be corrupted. Christians believe that Jews are still God’s chosen people. It was through this people that Yeshua came to be. We pray for Israel’s peace and God’s favor on the Jewish people. We love the jewish people, though we understand that the Jewish people may not share the same love for us. We hope to relate with the people who we consider the root of our faith!
