Angela A.ParticipantI took an honors colloquium in college all about intelligence, and what I can add to this discussion is that there is lots of evidence in peer-reviewed academic journals about racial differences in intelligence (we read some, but I don’t still have them). Asians typically score highest in IQ tests, which is normally how we measure smarts….however the amount isn’t terribly significant (I think it was like +10 points). Whether you think IQ tests measure smartness or not though might be a different argument!

Angela A.ParticipantI wouldn’t say that the difference you say is real. Young men may be uninterested in marriage, but once they meet the right girl, I don’t think they are afraid. Females can be happy being single and unattached perhaps more so that men, which counters your argument. Part of what you think might be that weddings are typically more fun for the female. We get to shop for and dress up in an amazing gown, get our makeup and hair done professionally etc….and the gifts usually are more tailored to females.
