AndiParticipantOur actions are anything but secretive. In fact, the Church published What is Scientology?, a more than 700-page reference book that explains everything one might want to know about the Church. Our Churches hold open house events and tours regularly, and many of our churches open their facilities free of charge for use by community and civic groups. There is nothing mysterious about Scientology or its members and practices. The Church’s leaders are in close touch with the membership and they hold events throughout the year which we attended by tens of thousands, many non-Scientologists are welcome as well. We are actively involved in our communities, visible and effective.

AndiParticipantThe best way to respond to your question, is actually to tell you to find out for yourself. However I can point you to several books which answered my questions when I first looked into Scientology: What is Scientology? Scientology: A New Slant on Life. Scientology: The Fundamentals of Thought. Scientology believes man to be basically good, not evil. It is his experiences that have led him to commit evil deeds, not his nature. Scientology believes that man advances to the degree he preserves his spiritual integrity and values, and remains honest and decent. Indeed, he deteriorates to the degree he abandons these qualities.
