Anatole-R31619ParticipantI think the word “bald” is a bit harsh for the majority of men who are losing their hair, although men who are receding would probably do better to shave off their remaining locks and go for all-over stubble. For me, a receding hairline is not a turn-off, and an all-bald haircut can be sexy and quite youthful (ignore comments about skinheads and slaphead).
So many men start losing their hair in their twenties that it really is a generalization to say that women are turned off by this feat of nature.
As for baldness, time does take its toll, but many women have an odd imperfection or two as well. I think the main problem is that while baldness has gotten a bad name and is at the top of the list for what people find unattractive, it is such a superficial trait that only shallow people would let it bother them. In that way I think you are right.
Male loss of hair is a sign of virility, though, as is smelly feet, so I think women who judge by baldness should just accept the physical differences men have and enjoy them.
