    The problem with institutional racism is that people who don’t have it directed at them don’t ever see it and don’t necessarily believe it’s racist when they hear about it. So it’s harder to combat, because people don’t believe it’s a problem. Just about anyone can point to a KKK meeting and say, “Those are bad people trying to do bad things.” But when it’s airport security targeting Arabs, people say, “Oh, they’re just trying to ensure my safety.”
