Hello Mike. This belief is based on the prophecy in the book of Daniel, in which he interpreted a dream for the Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar. We feel that the Bible indicates that the prophetic dream had fulfillment with God’s Kingdom on Earth, and with the very same man God permitted to sack that Nation. Such action was the result of Israel’s unfaithfulness to God, and to pure worship. We feel that the prophetic ‘Seven Times’ of Daniel 4 ended circa. 1914, and that Jesus Christ began to rule God’s Kingdom. We believe that this initiated the era known as the ‘Last Days’, and will culminate in Christ’s ‘Coming With The Clouds’. There are no indications of when THAT day will be, and in fact, we are told that nobody but the Father knows, however, as per Jesus’ words on the Mount of Olives (Matthew 24), we can recognize the ‘season’, or rather, the approach of that day. (Matthew 24:32-36) ‘Now learn from the fig tree as an illustration this point: Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and it puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. Likewise also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near at the doors. Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away. Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.’ (Revelation 12:5-12) And she gave birth to a son, a male, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod. And her child was caught away to God and to his throne. And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and sixty days. And war broke out in heaven: Mi’chael and his angels battled with the dragon, and the dragon and its angels battled but it did not prevail, neither was a place found for them any longer in heaven. So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him… …Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.’ I hope this has been somewhat helpful.
