I think that this problem comes from the woman’s side of the equation. I think most men would be flattered to be asked out. I think the stigma of a woman asking out a man is generated primarily from other women who feel “well, if she has to ask him out then she must not be very attractive.” When I was dating, if a woman had asked me out, it would have made my week. Life’s a banquet and most poor bastards are starving to death!
