Is it just me, or is the media, ALL media playing up and pushing the concept of black males pairing off, hooking up with, hanging out with white females, to the exclusion of black/black depictions? I have seen cartoons, commercials, tv shows, movies, print ads, you name it that repeatedly show black men and white women. My question is, if it is so hip, and acceptable for mixing races in the media, why don’t you ever see the same pairings of white males and black females? Is this society trying to say that Mandingo lives? Everybody wants a white woman?
