I’m trying to paint, and the mouse and the touch pad I have is to jumpy and I constantly get errors. My question is : What kind of pointer is there which gives greater and more stable control to use when painting or correcting?

Toss that mouse and replace it with one with a rollerball. Or get a PC tablet. I have both, but use the rollerball, unless I’m doing something really complicated, like a portrait.
