i am a 21 year old female and i think im a logical person. i firmly belive in calling my self one of the two god’s child or African American, never black. I belive that black is a color (your child has a point) not a ethinicty or an orgin. logically every other ethnic group has the prefix of the their country included in their ethnic title, for example (Japanes-Japan, scottish-scotland, mexican-mexico, russian-russia,the list goes on)why it states the orgin and indirectly it states they have a country,culture, traditions more important it states that they have a history. bottom line there is no country or place called black on this earth. i have a lot more to say on this subject . wheather you like it or not we our all from african descent. our culture comes from africa, the rythm , our music , every think we do basically derrived from africa.
