I wonder if anybody could explain some strange things here to me. As a german I feel a little awkward, when being asked to identify my race. Racial identification is not a major topic in Germany since WW II. ‘White’ could go for the colour of my skin but I don’t feel any connection to the Kaukasus. Has anybody ever found ‘white’ bones there? Given enough time all bone are white of course. Do they only look at peoples’ skins or do they still use this 19th century skull-measuring to define the individual race? Do US Americans really still use this 19th century racial definition? Is it really important in the US to which race people belong? What is regarded as worse: belonging to a ‘minor race’, belonging to a ‘supersticious race’ or being a foreigner? These questions are sincere, not just fun!
