Why do people of Africian origin pronunce the letter ‘ D ‘ sound at the end of a word ending in a ‘T’? Thus the word ‘Had’ comes out ‘Hat’. The word ‘started’ becomes ‘startet’ and so on. I respectfully submit this question, without bias. The most educated of these people Seem to keep this pronunciation.
