I’m curious to know why it is that when a person comes from a mixed backround (i.e Tiger Woods, Lenny Kravitz, alicia keyes, Halle Berry) with one black parent or grandparent they are considered black. It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with the colour of skin. As long as the person in question is even a tiny bit tanned they can call themselves ‘black’. A lot of these people don’t have African features at all (although that’s a subjective opinion), many of them look quite European. Could someone please explain this to me?
