Heres my question that I’ve asked many times. Ok, we all know that Lincoln freed the slaves, right? Ok then, why is it that it seems like this has been forgotten by many people? We also celebrate black history month and have a few of the famous black persons birthdays off (M.L. King jr). But when it comes round to Licolns birthday everythings still open and nothings going on? Why is this? I can see how people will say that these people did do large things for the black community, and that I respect. But think about it, if it wasn’t for this 1 single white man, none of these birthdays would be celebrated. Because if not for Lincoln, only god knows what would be going on. For all we know, slavery would still be in exsistance. I know for one that I would not like to see this.
