Over the past few years there has been an upsurge in caucasian women going in for surgery to acquire the physical attributes of people of African descent, that is: rounder, higher rear-ends, larger lips, and the like. I see white people dreading their hair and applying creams that make their skin as dark as can be. Are you trying to look as close to being a black person as you can? Do you wish you really WERE a black person?, and lastly, for the young women (in their 20s-30s) who do this, what do your parents and/or older caucasian friends (older meaning 40-50+ years old) think of this ‘new’ idea of beauty?
