Why is it that whenever a black person acts intelligently, he/she is labeled as acting ‘white,’ even by whites? I’ve been in the suburbs now for about 8 yrs. and it’s gotten to the point where I don’t have any black friends (which i could care less about, but my mother says I’m ‘afraid’ of black people). The fact that I don’t have any black friends is not because I’m racist, but by dint of the classes I’ve chosen.
