Some would say that ‘imitation is the sincerest form of flattery’. But really, is it? Would we say the same about Al Jolson? He ‘imitated’ blacks, so he thought, too? But, in the end, we realize that he was only ‘clowning’ blacks. Are young whites (inc. spanish) ‘clowning’ young Blacks?
