I have a friend that lives in a small college town (about 50,000). He says that when he doesn’t shave and grows a little bit of a beard people treat him differently. But when he has a clean shaven face, people treat him more nicely. Has anyone else had this experience? Could it be location (Midwest)? Could it be city sociology?
