Mary21972ParticipantI am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ who wants to start a ministry that deals w/other gay Christians. I am told by clergy and psychologists that there is a large population of people with the same interest, but there is nowhere to go. Plus, most are afraid to admit to it due to the stigma attached to the lifestyle. I would like to know how common this is, and that I am not alone in my quest to help others like me.

Ben S.ParticipantI am not sure about the tone of your initial sentence – ‘deals with other gay Christians…’ If you mean Christians who were formerly homosexual, then I’m not aware of any specific church. I believe the Logos Foundation did start a group for such people in the United States, but the two male leaders fell in love and left. For gay Christians who regard themselves as content with what God has given them in the area of sexuality, there are groups such as the Metropolitan Community Church and Dignity (for gay Catholics). There are many other such groups for other Christian denominations.
