JessTsabParticipantNow I know the answer I might get from this question, but honestly, tell me something. I am aware that the whole slaverly thing happened. I cannot deny that. I watched JASPER, TEXAS earlier today too and I was crying…but thats merely my point. I, growing up, was brought up in a racist community, but I myself was not. My family soon adopted racism too, but I did not. My first boyfriend was in fact a black guy, Jamhl. My family called me an ‘n-lover’ for it and I used to cuss them up on side and down the other when they would say the n word. I watched ROOTS for Gods sake, and on a regular basis too. I did my first presentation/report on Harriet Tubman. I am the furthest thing from being racist as anyone can get. But I joined the military and everything flip-flopped and suddenly Im the bad guy(girl). Now Ill be in the line at say, TacoBell, and the teen behind the counter will treat all her black customers better than her other customers. Why is this? I thought you guys wanted peace and equality? Now it seems like you guys have done what all the white people did so many years ago. It seems now that the black people are power-hungry. Why? Didnt we see what happened the first time, do we have to go racist the other way too? My ancestors were not here when slavery was taking place, they were in Thailand and Wales. I am not to blame for this, so dont treat everyone like they did you wrong.
