Robert19616ParticipantUnless you have never been exposed to the theory of evolution, I cannot understand why anyone still believes creationism. If God created man on the 6th day, as the Bible states, then explain the dinosaurs. Everyone seems to accept that the dinosaurs existed before humans, which proves the story presented in Genesis wrong. Am I missing something?

DotParticipantRational theologists agree that there’s wiggle room in the various translations of Biblical text. Scientists who happen also to be religious believe that God had a hand in evolution. This doesn’t seem to be a major conflict to me. Sadly, religion in the hands of the not very smart often becomes an inflexible weapon they use to bludgeon people with.
